About Sumaira
Sumaira Yousaf is a registered General Psychologist with extensive international clinical experience across Australia and the UAE. She works with children, adolescents, adults, and families with a warm, strengths-focused approach.
Sumaira provides comprehensive psychological assessments and evidence-based interventions, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and solution-focused approaches. She works across presentations such as anxiety, self-esteem, trauma, parenting support, and behavioural difficulties.
She also has strong expertise in psychoeducational and cognitive assessments (including WPPSI, WISC, WAIS, WIAT, CARS, and VABS), and delivers detailed reports for diagnostic clarification, school support, and intervention planning.
Sumaira is passionate about culturally sensitive, client-centred care and works collaboratively with families, GPs, support coordinators, and allied health professionals to ensure holistic support. She is fluent in English, Urdu, and Hindi.
Her therapeutic style is warm, reflective, and strengths-focused, with an emphasis on building insight, resilience, and long-term emotional wellbeing.
