Quality psychology, wherever you are.

Secure online sessions available to anyone across Australia. The same experienced clinicians, the same evidence-based care — without the commute.

What you need

  • A quiet, private space for the session
  • A device with a webcam and microphone (laptop, tablet, or phone all work)
  • A reliable internet connection — 3G or better
  • About 15 minutes before your first session to set up and test the platform

Telehealth is a great fit for:

  • Regional or remote Australia where in-person options are limited
  • Busy parents, shift workers, or anyone with a tight schedule
  • People with mobility or transport barriers to getting to a clinic
  • Those who feel more comfortable opening up from their own space
  • Anyone with significant anxiety about leaving the house
  • FIFO workers or people who travel for work

Medicare, NDIS, and telehealth

Telehealth psychology sessions attract the same Medicare rebate as in-person sessions with a Mental Health Treatment Plan from your GP. NDIS, WorkSafe, TAC, DVA, and private health rebates all apply to telehealth where they'd apply in person.

Telehealth for regional and remote Australia

Many of our telehealth clients live in rural or remote areas where local psychology options are limited. Our clinicians are experienced in working with the realities of regional life — distance, weather, internet quirks, and the very specific challenges of small-community privacy — and we offer evening and weekend sessions to fit around FIFO rosters and farm work.

Common telehealth questions

Is telehealth as effective as in-person therapy?
For most presenting issues, research consistently shows telehealth is comparable to in-person therapy in outcomes — particularly for depression, anxiety, stress, and life transitions. Some therapies that involve physical elements (like EMDR) can be adapted for telehealth. Your psychologist will discuss what suits your situation best.
Can I claim Medicare rebates for telehealth sessions?
Yes. With a Mental Health Treatment Plan from your GP, telehealth psychology sessions attract the same Medicare rebate as in-person sessions. Up to 10 rebated sessions per calendar year.
What platform do you use?
We use secure, end-to-end encrypted video platforms designed for healthcare. You'll receive a link by email before your session — no app install required in most cases. Your session is never recorded.
What if my internet drops out during a session?
It happens occasionally. Your psychologist will call you on your phone to reconnect and continue. If the connection can't be restored, we'll reschedule without charge.
Is my session private?
Yes. Video platforms are encrypted. We recommend you choose a private space where you won't be overheard. If privacy is a concern at home, your psychologist can help you think through options (including in-person sessions at one of our clinics).
