About Amelia
Amelia takes a warm, collaborative, and person-centred approach to therapy, creating a supportive space where clients feel genuinely heard, understood and comfortable being themselves. She brings curiosity to each person’s story and considers how their experiences, relationships and environment may shape the way they understand themselves and navigate the world.
Her approach draws on evidence-based psychological interventions, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based techniques, tailored to each client’s individual needs. Amelia values looking beyond symptoms to understand the broader factors contributing to a person’s experiences, while helping clients develop practical skills and strategies that support meaningful change in everyday life.
Amelia works with children, adolescents and adults across a range of presentations, including anxiety, depression and low mood, stress, emotional regulation difficulties, life transitions and interpersonal challenges. She also has experience in supporting children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties and working alongside parents and families to strengthen understanding and support their child’s needs.
With a genuine and down-to-earth style, Amelia believes you don’t need to have everything figured out before coming to therapy. Her experience working with people across the lifespan has shaped her practice with an appreciation that everyone’s story and pathway to support looks different.
