Maiara Kunzler

Maiara has over 6 years of professional and clinical experience in psychology and mental health across Brazil and Australia. Her work is grounded in a trauma-informed approach, with a strong focus on attachment theory.

Since beginning her work as a psychologist, Maiara has supported children, young people, and families across a range of emotional and psychological challenges. She has a particular interest in working with clients navigating cultural adjustment and the unique psychological experiences that come with immigrating to a new country.

Maiara works with clients experiencing anxiety and mood disorders, low self-esteem, emotional regulation difficulties, and challenges related to attachment, relationships, and life transitions. She is also experienced in working with families facing school refusal and special educational needs.

Her approach is integrative and flexible, drawing on a variety of evidence-informed practices. She incorporates elements of play-based, relational, and attachment-focused work, always adapting her style to the unique needs and goals of each client.
