Programs we offer
Each program type includes general information below. Where a group is running, you will find current enrolment details under that program.
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) skills groups
Learn practical skills for managing life's toughest moments. DBT distress tolerance skills groups at Succoris are designed to help participants develop practical strategies for coping with overwhelming emotions, stressful situations, and difficult life experiences.
Over weekly sessions, participants learn evidence-based distress tolerance skills, including grounding techniques, self-soothing strategies, crisis survival skills, distraction methods, and acceptance-based approaches. These skills can be helpful for people who experience intense emotions, anxiety, relationship difficulties, impulsive behaviours, or periods of crisis.
Groups provide a supportive and non-judgemental environment where participants can learn, practise, and apply new skills in everyday life. No previous experience with DBT is required.

Grey Area Drinking and Intentional Choice
Grey Area Drinking and Intentional Choice is a coaching program for people who do not identify as having an alcohol problem but feel stuck in ongoing uncertainty or quiet dissatisfaction with their drinking.
The focus is clarity, values, and intentional choice rather than abstinence or moderation as a prescribed outcome. This program is educational and coaching-based — it does not provide therapy, diagnosis, or individualised treatment.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) for anxious teens
This online ACT group is for Year 11 and 12 students who experience anxiety and want practical strategies for worry thoughts and difficult feelings.
Facilitated by an experienced clinical psychologist, the program uses acceptance and commitment strategies to help teenagers respond differently to anxiety rather than trying to eliminate it entirely.
