Ask any early career Clinical Psychologist, and they’ll likely tell you: the registrar program is one of the most demanding (and confusing) parts of their professional journey.

Juggling supervision, clinical hours, CPD, documentation, and all the responsibilities of real-world practice, often without a clear roadmap, can feel overwhelming. And on top of that? It’s super expensive!

The Hidden Cost of Endorsement

To meet the requirements for Clinical Endorsement under the Psychology Board of Australia, registrars must:

• Complete 80 hours of individual supervision with a board-approved Clinical Supervisor (Approx cost: $20,000)
• Log 80 hours of CPD (including 40 per year, with at least 10 hours of active CPD annually (Approx cost: 8,000)
• Maintain thorough records of competency development across eight core areas
• Work a minimum of 1,760 hours over two years in a psychology role
